Beatmania IIDX 25 + Omnimix
Here's the upload for Beatmania IIDX 25 and its Omnimix.
I know there's another post about this game but it was full replies, most of which were people asking for a reupload or help to get the game running. There was too much clutter.
I thought it would be best to start from scratch with a new post, new links and a tutorial.
The link contains everything required to get the game running: the base game, the Omnimix and Spicetools.
I tested everything before uploading so I can gurantee the game works.
Setting up the base game:
1) Extract the contents from the group of archives named "LDJ-2018091900" to any folder or drive. You will end up with a folder named like the archive: LDJ-2018091900
2) Open the archive containing Spicetools. There will be 2 folders inside. Extract the contents of the folder named "64" (the 64bit version of Spicetools) to the "contents" folder of the game (where the file "bm2dx.dll" is). Run spicecfg.exe to set up the keys.
NOTE: in the version of Spicetools I included, the keys for TEST an SERVICE are swapped. Remember this when configuring the game later on.
3) Open the archive named "Prop and Dev files" and exctract its contents (a folder named "prop" and another one named "dev") into the "contents" folder of the game (the same folder from the previous step)
NOTE: if you want/need to delete your settings and start over, delete the "dev" folder and extract it again from this archive.
4) Inside the "contents" folder, right click on an empty space while holding shift and select "Open command window here". In the command prompt, type the following command and hit enter: spice64 -ea
NOTE: if you use a private server, drop the -ea argument. If you want to run the game in window mode, add the -w argument.
5) When the game starts, you will get a camera error. Press TEST to continue (if you have a webcam and you don't get this error, the game recognized it and will try to use it during gameplay).
After this you will get a clock error. Again, press TEST to continue.
There will be a monitor check and after a few seconds, you will be brought to the main test menu.
6) Go to "Game Option", select "Definition Type" and choose the option that matches your display (most likely, HD). Select "Save and Exit". Just like changing resolution in Windows, the screen will go black and after a few seconds, a message will ask if you want to keep this setting. Select "Yes".
7) On the main menu again, this time go to "Network Options" and then "Shop Name Setting". Input any character you want, go to "Exit" and then "Save and Exit"
8) Now, in the main menu again, go to "Clock" and simply select "Save and Exit". Finally choose "Game Mode" to start the game.
The base game will start normally from now on. You will still get the camera error, but you can skip it like the first time or patch the .dll to stop it from showing up (read until the end for steps on how to do it)
Setting up the Omnimix:
Extract the contents from the group of archives named "BeatmaniaIIDX 25 Omnimix" inside the "contents" folder (where Spicetools is). You will merge the existing "data" folder with the one from the Omnimix. You will also replace the existing "bm2dx.dll" with the one from the Omnimix.
After this, start the game the same way as before.
Patching the bm2dx.dll file:
You can patch the bm2dx.dll file to modify the regular operation of the game by skipping the camera error, increasing the song selection time and other features.
To do it, access the following link, go into Beatmania IIDX 25 and drag and drop the bm2dx.dll file:
If you use the regular .dll (you are not using Omnimix), just select the features you want and then select "Save DLL".
If you use the Omnimix .dll, the patcher will show a message asking to select a version since none of the supported ones match. Select "Force Load" on the one that says "30 of 31 patches matched (96.8%)". After this, just select the features you want and then select "Save DLL".
This new file will be downloaded into the download folder set up in your browser. Search your file there and replace with the one from the "contents" folder.

Beatmania IIDX 18 + DLC Songs
Here's the upload for Beatmania IIDX 18.
The link contains the HDD, crack and DLC content with extra songs.
Copy the contents of the crack zip file into the JDZ folder.
After that, extract the contents of the rar file "DLC Songs + Full Unlock" into the JDZ folder, replacing existing files and adding the new ones.
Configure the input using config.bat and run the game using bm2dx.bat
For anyone interested, the mod must be done to the file bm2dx.dll with a Hex editor.
Change every byte to 00 from address EBE88 to EC550, and at address 273A5, replace the existing bytes with B4 03 C3.
Notes:

Edit prop/ea3-config.xml to set your services URL and PCBID

I haven't been able to run the game in my current pc. The screen stays black and the game window closes after a few seconds.
However, I played the game when it came out so I can guarantee this rip works.
For reference, back then (if I'm not mistaken) I used to have a Pentium 4, GeForce 620 and Windows XP.

I was wondering if it's possible to save scores on Sound Voltex and other games while playing with EALocalServer.
I'm mainly asking this because I'm tired of playing 2 easy tracks on Gravity Wars before I can play a semi-hard one, and since I saw a post about using a .txt file as an e-Amusement pass on DDR A I thought that something similar might be possible to access the Skill Analyzer on SDVX.

Here's the upload for Pop'n Music 20.
The link contains the HDD and crack, however, the game already has all necessary files to run it. The crack rar file is also included in case anyone needs it.
To start, run "GAME.bat". If this doesn't work (Windows throws the error: 'launcher' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file), you can also type the command "launcher popn20.dll -u ezusb.dll" (without quotes) from Command Prompt with admin rights.
A few notes:
*When the game starts, the colors may look wrong. This is normal and they will be fixed once the gameplay starts. I've been told this happens on non-Radeon graphic cards.
*Once the game starts, it will throw an error. It's an initialization message. You need to close the game and run it again.
*After restarting, it will throw another error. You need to disable e-amusement by pressing the Test Button (you must configure it by running config.bat) and going to Network Options. After it's disabled, you need to restart the game.
*If you need to erase your settings, you can delete the "conf" folder and copy it again from the crack rar file.
The game is set to the default phase as it is (this means there's no secret songs available in the song list).
To unlock the other phases, enter the test menu and go to "Phase Options". Select "Phase" and enter the following passwords:
Phase 1 (Secret Data Release): 8AE74T1B5H
Phase Max (All Data Release): E264Y1HF9P
I don't know if there's a hex edit for this game to unlock all songs like there is in Pop'n 19. I don't know if this hex edit (should it exist) is necessary either.
After unlocking Phase Max, I counted 56 songs in the Pop'n 20 category (secret songs are included in this category as well)
The OST of the game has 61 songs (excluding the intro song and long versions). I didn't do an exhaustive comparison of songs but some might be missing.

A few notes on the game:
*The game runs at 640 x 480. If you run it as it is, it will do so in a small window. Right click gdv7.exe and go to Properties>Compatibility and check "Run in 640 x 480 screen resolution" to run it in fullscreen.
*It's possible the game will have problems with background videos. If that's the case, try installing Pure Codec, and then go to fddshow (installed along with Pure Codec) and set MPEG2 to libavcodec.
*The crack/loader supports MIDI input (tested with a Yamaha DTX drum)

The game is set to the default phase as it is (this means there's no secret songs available in the song list).
To unlock all songs, copy the file "popn19.dll" from "popn19hdd\Tools\TS Utils" to "popn19hdd"
There is a code to unlock Phase Max like in previous games but in this game, it won't unlock everything. The modded .dll file previously mentioned will unlock everything. I will list the Phase codes in case anyone wants them.
To unlock the other phases, enter the test menu and go to "Phase Options". Select "Phase" and enter the following passwords:

Here is a new arcade game released, once again and again, in a playable state.
Game lacks online (server were shut down more than 10 years ago) and CardReader features (saving and loading progress),
so it may not be fully enjoyable, because CAREER, TOURNAMENT and LEADERBOARD are not available.
Only TRAINING and EXHIBITION are playable, enough to have fun anyway.
This game version only allows 2 players to play together, it's a dump from the 2 players cab version without 4 players support.
Maybe someone could figure out a way to get CAREER mode unlocked and saving.
Dump includes hacked exe and dlls, DxWnd settings (for some fixes), DGVoodoo (for some other fixes) and a launcher taking care of
path, cursors and other commands and settings to make the game portable.
So to run the game, just extract the archive anywhere and run the LAUNCHER exe "AS ADMIN" (if not some patches may fail).
Game has been tested and working pretty good under Win7 x64.
Some issues: game settings are not saved atm (FRONTEND ONLY), no sound in video cutscenes (FRONTEND ONLY)…..

I saw a installation of it and they were running it using a regular PC with SteamVR so it doesn't seem too difficult for someone to just take those files and upload them online.

actually I don't own any cabinets, but I want to know. Does original BEMANI hardware recognizes cracked game or does it need to run with spicetools or bemanitools? Is it possible to use actual cabinet I/O Board in spicetools?
PPP 1.0/1.1/1st PLUS/PPD asset rips possible?
So I had an extract image of ParaParaParadise 1st MIX PLUS (arcade version, not PS2) on hand and while looking through the extracted files, I noticed that a lot of them were in the .GCZ file format (excluding the "SD" folder [full of nothing but .BIN files]).
This image gives an impression of what .GCZ files are in each of the folders, with the photo linked showing off what a typical PPP visualization structure looks like - a couple GCZ files and an INDEX.IDX file or two. It's also worth mentioning that the songs in the "BG" and "BG_PLUS" folders (the latter is used for 1st MIX PLUS only) each have the visuals in separate folders. There is also a probability that the .GCZ files are used as texture files and the INDEX.IDX files are used to call up the layers of visuals to be played during the song.
It's also knowing that this structure is used on all four Firebeat-based PPP releases (1.0, 1.1, 1st PLUS, and Korea-only ParaParaDancing; PPP 2ndMIX runs on Viper and probably uses a different format for its graphics) and is probably used on beatmania III and other Firebeat-based arcade games as well.
So now to the question. This might sound impossible, but could there possibly be a way to extract assets from said .GCZ files?

I've been downloading images for PIU games from here and have been wondering if theres any good way to rip assets from them. When I extract the images with 7z I get some wav files inside also with a bunch of mov files that I can't seem to open anywhere. Also, much newer games still use the .AUD format for audio, which is really old and unsupported basically everywhere too. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to open/read/convert these files?

For unlocking expert difficulties without having to A-clear the hard charts, you can change the game's region to korean.
To do that, you have to change the <dest> field in ea3-config.xml from J to K.
Upon changing your region, you may find your game is no longer booting. To remediate the issue: Take the files found in ../contents/prop/defaults and copy (do not cut) them to ../dev/nvram

There's no additional settings in the JConfigDS where you can save patch the game as in other JConfig games.

Akai Katana scores not reading
Anyone have a clue why high scores aren't being read in Akai Katana? ranking.bin file is being saved in "sv" folder, when opening it in Notepad I can read my initials but apperantly the game won't read it. Weird thing is that the high score, in the upper right corner, is being saved. But that's a cool forum score.

So here it is finally, and it's once more fully playable!
Dump includes unhasped exe and dlls, DxWnd settings (d3d8.dll & dxwnd.dll), the latest updated MohkerzLoaderz and a launcher taking care of path and other commands and settings to make the game portable & one-click.
So, to run the game, just extract the archive anywhere and run the LAUNCHER exe "AS ADMIN" (if not some patches may fail).
If launcher desn't work for you, just copy the whole game folder to C:\rawart, and run MohkerzLoaderz.exe from there.
Game has been tested and working pretty good under Win7 x64.

This "lost" Japan-only Counter-Strike arcade game has finally been decrypted after many years. Thank you to the one in particular who made this possible! The game is very unusual in a lot of ways, so it should be fun for you investigators out there and to all the Valve fans who have been waiting to see it. The partitions have been uploaded as-is from after decryption, just in case there was anything hidden. You can open the .bin containers with 7zip.

To be honest, this doesn't make much sense. I uploaded it here is just cause it's so dumb and funny.
The dump is GHO format, you need Symantec Ghost to recover it to hard drive.

Game directly playable with keyboard (for these dumb pirates just used PC version of Outrun 2006 Coast 2 Coast).
Notes:
1. Do not recover the image directly to your computer hard drive- that will wipe your entire hard drive.
2. The GHO is the backup of the whole drive, not a partition. Choose the option "local-disk-from image" while recovering it in Symantec Ghost.
3. If you run the game in virtual machine, it may say "unable to start Direct3D…" since the video driver is not there. And the pirated Windows XP which the game runs on doesn't even allow you to manage files (probably limited by gpedit.msc) and install VMware tools. You need to get third-party file managers (e.g. Total Commander) and put it in the startup folder to manage files and install VMware tools which enable the 3D accleration. (assuming you use VMware)
4. Since the I/O board is not (and no need to be) emulated, you cannot insert coin or setup how many coins per play. But once you press Enter on the keyboard, the game will think you have coined in.

I have to say though, I didn't have much luck with this one to make it run.
It works, though. I could only get this to run once, about 6 years ago. Since then, it never worked again.
Spicetools won't work since the game doesn't load from a .dll like recent versions, but from a .exe file.
There is also a song unlock file included. Copy it where the readme tells you to.

Dump includes hacked exe and dlls, a Locale emulator, DxWnd settings, and a launcher taking care of path, cursors and other commands and settings to make the game portable & one-click.
So, to run the game, just extract the archive anywhere and run the LAUNCHER exe "AS ADMIN" (if not some patches may fail).
Note that there is 2 launchers atm, one for full widescreen and one for fullscreen but with 4:3 aspect ratio preserved.

CARD DISPENSER: this cab can dispense some yugioh cards, your computer can't… anyway the device is emulated to fool the game.
Don't play to much with it, as it is simply bypassed.
There is a FREEPLAY setting in SERVICE MENU that allows to fully disable it in-game.
CARD SCANNER: Yugioh Duel Terminal cards embed QRcodes and can be scanned by being placed face down on the cab front panel center.
Here some patches, made the thing work with my laptop webcam. Have some fun with yours.
There is a SERVICE MENU test screen that helps with that.
REAL-IO buttons:This cab has some buttons like SERVICE, TEST and COIN.
There is also a big ACTION button that is the main control button, and is mapped to SPACE.
Note: there is another button i did not found useful atm, but i mapped it to key 2.
TOUCH PANEL: This cab uses a touch screen, and that was the real "fun" here. Screen isn't even multi touch.
So i mapped the mouse to fully replace the touch screen, and left-click is the touch event.
Small bug:
Sometimes, input seems to be OFF, but everything comes back to normal quickly… need to debug more…
NETWORK: This might work if you intend to link computers, but i did not tried or fixed anything here.

Installation:
Windows: After copying the Bemanitools 5 files, just copy the eamio.dll from this to the game directory.
Android: Enable "Unknown Sources" from security settings, then install the APK.
The server/"plugin" software was tested with Windows 10 Version 1803 and Windows XP SP3 and with IIDX Copula/Sinobuz and SDVX III/IV.
It should work with every game that Bemanitools 5 supports if the game uses card readers (and maybe if it doesn't).
Configuration:
The default server port is 57300. You can change it by creating eamio_config.txt in the same folder as the game and entering
port=54321
in it (where "54321" is the port you want to use). The usable port range is 49152-65535.
By default the server allows up to two different client connections. If you want to use only one client in games that have two keypads, you can put
max_clients=1
in the eamio_config.txt.
The server pings the clients every 10 seconds. If you want to change this value, use
ping_frequency_sec=123
, where the value is the interval in seconds.
The server will disconnect from clients if they don't respond to pings in 30 seconds. If you want to change this value, use
timeout_sec=123
Note that creating eamio_config.txt is NOT needed. The server uses default values if the file doesn't exist.
Using physical keyboards
You can also use physical keyboad(s) (Bluetooth/USB(-OTG)) with the app.
If there are keyboards connected to your device, pressing the number keys will send the key presses to the currently visible unit in the app.
You can also designate physical keyboards to specific keypad unit by going to the settings. The app also notifies you when it detects a keyboard the first time.
Short how-to:
1. Plug in the keyboard(s) (by Bluetooth or USB OTG cable)
2. Open the app, it should inform you about keypad device mapping (only on the first time)
3. Go to settings -> External keypad mapping
4. Select the keypad you want to map the device(s) to. Keypad 1 is player 1, keypad 2 is player 2
5. Select the device you want to use and tap "Use"
6. Things should now Just Work (tm) when you connect to a server and press keys on the keyboard(s)
Please note that non-mapped keyboards send their key presses to the currently visible unit.

Issue: Sometimes the game won't start and displays some IC CARD/card reader error
Solution: Restart the game. If that doesn't help, re-copy and/or re-download eamio.dll to the game directory.

Tips:
1. Don't run this in windowed mode, just don't. Windowed mode seems to case issues with the game locking up at random then starting and locking up again a few seconds later. This doesn't happen in fullscreen mode so just... don't run it in windowed mode. Please flip your monitor and run the game in 720x1280
2. Hardware compatibility seems to vary GREATLY. I had no trouble running museca on my home machine with a core i3 3220, 5 gig of ram and windows 10 64 bit on a GT 630 GPU but on my laptop with an i7 6700HQ, 16 gig of ram, windows 10 64 bit and a GTX 950M the game had significantly more issues when it came to getting it running as well as considerably longer startup times. What kind of hardware you have seems to impact the experience you will have quite significantly.
3. Legitimate Museca cabs use an SSD for data storage so it is recommended you run this sata off an SSD for ideal results. A RAID 0 setup also works.
4. Sound card compatibility is very mixed. As of right now the only card that I can confirm works due to user feedback is the Realtek ALC887. If the game works fine on your sound card please let me know and I'll put together a compatibility list.
5. As of right now you NEED to launch the game using the -ea command switch with spicetools. To speed things up create a batch file and type in spice64 -ea and use that to launch the game.
6. From my experience I would recommend running the game off of an Nvidia or AMD GPU if you have one as opposed to Intel HD Graphics. Museca seems to really throw a fit with Intel HD for whatever reason.
7. If you are having issues with stuttering or the sound glitching up when you press a key input, try DELETING the backup data files (so all the files in the nvram directory except coin.xml and eacoin.xml and all the files in the raw directory except J.bin) and then try starting the game again. It should ask you to initialise the backup data. For some bizzare reason on some setups museca will experience stuttering glitches whenever an input is pressed when you try to play the game EXCEPT when you have booted the game and initialised the backup data during the startup process. I don't know why but that step of initialising the backup data seems to allow the game to work correctly so try that if you are having issues.

trouble running DDR A
I downloaded DDR A ,extracted/copied it to my computer but I can make it run ,there is no gamestart-he.bat to launch the game in the files extracted .i also downloaded the bemani tools link and got to use ealocalservice.exe yo bypass eamusement on DDR 2014 but still can’t run DDR A since I don’t find the launcher file .i would aprecciate any help :)

So I was recently banned from bemaniso.ws for being "racist" for posting the incarceration rates of black people to prove a point. Even though it was not my intent to do so or to be racist, this visibly triggered numerous people, which in addition to my use of a pepe avatar led many people to believe I was a racist. Of course, pepe was a meme long before /pol/ turned him into a hate symbol, but this wasn't an acceptable argument to most people.
After getting banned on the discord and warned on the site for being racist(TIL facts are inherently racist), both a week after the fact and even though I hadn't done anything on the site, I got pissed. I posted in the discord thread very assertively explaining my point explaining that it was impossible for me to be racist. My rationale was entirely ignored, and I was assailed only by shitposters who were sarcastic and dismissive. Proof enough, perhaps, that I was correct and they couldn't refute it.
Of course after that I was banned from the site. So, yeah. I don't owe those fuckers anything anymore. Once I get a good place to securely upload some things in some way, I'll be distributing some AC data as well as some of the sows tools to use them. Anything here is up for grabs, sooner or later.
Keep in mind that I am not a troubleshooter. Beyond some basic know-how for normal things to do when getting these games working, I can't help you get them working. I give you the data and the tools, and after that you should consider yourself on your own. If you encounter a problem or problems, you'll have to find ways to fix them on your own or ask other people here who have gotten that data working. I may be able to provide slightly better support for Sound Voltex and maybe a bit of Pop'n since those are games I've actually played a little of, but that's about it.
Generic rules: When using data, always keep a backup of the raw files after you download them. If you fuck your install up or it somehow fucks itself up(this can happen with updates), this is your only way to restore the raw version of the game and work on getting it working again from there.
After you extract/copy your data to where you want to be your use copy, always go to the properties of the folder and uncheck read only. Let windows change the file properties and apply the settings.
Game launchers must run with admin privileges. Go to the exe's file properties and check the checkbox next to run as administrator under the compatibility tab. Launch the game with gamestart.bat, not the launcher file. If you try to launch the game using the executable it will fail. Additionally, the gamestart.bat allows you to insert some options such as mouse capture for Sound Voltex(-c, so you don't have to worry about windows popping up when your mouse scrolls across your task bar if playing in windowed mode; SVSE and similar controllers generally use the mouse as input so this can be a minor issue if you play with one)and windowed mode(-w), for obvious reasons. Insert these in the gamestart.bat file using a text editor after the game's primary DLL file, e.g.:

Sometimes playing in windowed mode can cause issues or cause delay. If you experience problems try reverting to fullscreen–the games were designed to be played that way. This can, unfortunately, be a problem with some games as if they cannot display at the resolution they were designed to be played in they will crash. Turning your 1080p monitor sideways is a good option sometimes, as the resolution of some of the games will not fit on a 1080p monitor if it is in it's default rotation.
Make sure your monitor is running at exactly 60hz. Running at anything else can cause the game to run faster or slower or cause major input delay problems.
Some newer versions of windows will block some files by default thinking them dangerous. The game will not run or run properly if anything is blocked. Go to the properties of each file in the main directory of your install(where the launcher is)and ensure that nothing is blocked. If anything is, click the unblock button. Remember to re-check any new files you put in there(such as the bemanitools files which are needed to crack the game; you will be unable to run them without this unless you have an actual cabinet).
All games must run with the proper set of bemanitools. Extract the right set of tools(ex: sdvx.zip tools in bemanitools 4 is for sound voltex)to your install's main directory before attempting to run, or you will fail a network check and the game will not run. Sometimes additional files may be required such as a new libacio.dll file for Sound Voltex to properly run Gravity Wars Season 2… I think, anyway. I may or may not have access to those files anymore depending on what I have in my tools folder. I do have the libacio for SDVX, though.

Groove Coaster 2 doesn't fill the screen
Was wondering if anyone had this problem or if I'm just misinterpreting things. I have Jconfig set to display at 720x1280, but when I launch the game it leaves two black bars on either side of the screen. I have a 1920x1080 monitor so the aspect ratio should be correct and all the resources I've found say that GC displays at 720x1280. This leads me to conclude that the game is being somehow stretched out vertically and leaving in order to leave black spaces on the two sides of the screen. Am I doing something wrong or is this actually how it is meant to be displayed? Thanks.

Where to find HD patches for Nesica games like 3rd strike, and other Capcom fighters?
Specifically these 2d Capcom fighters for Nesicaxlive. They output natively at a low resolution, which triggers some initial funky video switching in Windows when launching from various launchers. Anyone can link to HD patches?
Also, BBCF 1.3 for Nesicaxlive….With nesica unlocker it removes all unwanted stuff, but unfortunately, 2 player mode is broken when a player loses and tries to enter again (crash). Any Patch that removes icon/messages out there, so I can circumvent the need of nesica unlocker?

Pop'n Music Eclale Option Select
So there is a pop'n 23 machine in Orlando FL now which is rather nice. I haven't played since Pop'n 14 CS. On 23 I can't figure out how to disable cools, they just seem to always be on. Is that just how the game is now? I know that cools aren't that big of a deal but I'd like to see how I score without them due to me playing without them on all my CS games.

The download contains a disk image for vmware which can be written to a physcial HDD if you know how to do so.
On vmware it boots and starts the game however there isn't any sound and the game runs way too fast, It also crashes after the menu because of no sound
On an actual PC it seems to run ok once graphics and sound drivers were installed on the XP embedded install and it accepts input from a joystick (a mouse to joystick program is highly recommended if you wan't to hit any aliens)
This is also useful if you own a cab that has a dead drive and need to install the game to a new drive

Really want to play Beatmania
I won't lie. I have no idea what the fuck I'm doing and this is my last hope. I really want to play Beatmania on my PC but I have found no luck at all. I thought that it would be a simple thing I could look up on Google or YouTube but nope. So please tell me or link me anything that can help. I downloaded the copy of IIDX 23 Copula that's on another thread here but it won't open. Idk what's up with that. If you guys could tell me on how to either deal with that or any other possible ways of playing on PC that would be wonderful.

About this release:
-Resolution and Fullscreen are set in JLH.ini so edit this file with your settings.
Set FULLSCREEN to TRUE to play in fullscreen.
Edit this lines for your desired X resolution: ScreenResolutionX and DisplayWidth.
Edit this lines for your desired Y resolution: ScreenResolutionY and DisplayHeight.
In _CODECS_SETUP folder you will find everything to get audio and video cutscenes working.
-For audio to work, it seem you must have installed OpenAL sound engine.
-For videos to work, you will have to install some INDEO codec pack.
Their installer is apprently going wrong, so you will maybe have to install files manually.
-Just unzip the archive anywhere you want.
Then run the game by launching JLA.exe.
To quit the game, just press ESC.
-Controls are DINPUT so find an Xbox pad or anything else that is DInput.
You can use some software to fake a dinput pad to be able to play with anything (keyboard or else…)
4 action buttons + START button and 1 analog stick (X+Y) are required.
-The test menu can be triggered by some keyboard key, then you can tweak some settings that are all in JLH.ini.
Game is FREEPLAY and I suggest you leave it like that, because it can break if you change to COINS settings.

Extracting TTX gamedata from MAME's CHD
The game in this case is the version 2.02J of Chaos Breaker (dumped version it's 2.02O). My progress so far:
Extracted the .chd as an .img (glorious 37GB), then tried various methods to open/extract it.
First used WinImage and extracted the 2 partitions it recognized. The first one has all the Windows and game data (the last in the TypeXsys folder). There's the "launcher.exe", wich searches for the USB dongle to decrypt the file "vdimg_ec.img" (where the game data actually is), then mount it as a virtual unit and finally executes "game.exe".
Here's the main problem: How to decrypt this file? I converted the .img to .vhd to give it a try in VirtualBox, but it shows only a black screen. I know that Windows Embedded is very specific when it comes to drivers and program execution/boot.
Also opened the .img on WinHex and it showed a third partition, but didn't recognized any files. Does the CHD includes the dongle? Maybe it's only possible to decrypt on real hardware?
I hope someone can clarify this to me.

You need to be familiar with ms-dos as this uses a clone PTS-DOS system.
Boot from the cd and use pqdi to restore the image to a 2.1GB HDD in VMware. Needs com1/com2/com3(?).
After restoring the image, boot again from the iso.

Edit config.pts to get rid of the logo so you can see what pts-dos is doing. Edit autopts.bat to stop it loading menu. Use c:\ptsdos\mouse to get around the touchscreen warning and out of the bootloop.
Someone should figure out what the exe wants for touchscreen data. It does seem to detect mouse, but not register any clicks..

I've been trying to run IIDX 9th Style on my desktop computer 2 years ago and what happened is that ran too fast. My desktop computer has the following specs:
- 2.6GHz Intel i5 Core (Sandy Bridge)

DDR localserver
So I have the data for DDR2014/15, but the songs designed for that game are not in a song folder. Is it because of that fact that I have no way of using a virtual server? And that brings me to the next question… Will there / is there a program, like xrpcd24 that I can use to get that type of service off of DDR2014/15? If not, how can I get the songs from 2014-2015 to show up?

How does TeknoParrot work exactly?
I'm hearing a lot of stuff about how the developer steals other people's code to make it work - Well, where is that code? I'm at a loss as to why we're supposed to be against TeknoParrot when it works to launch these games. There doesn't seem to be any alternative - And if the 'alternative' is a secret to a few select elite people - Well, sorry but I'd rather have something that works for me (even for money) than the dream of some elusive trick to get these games working.

A known issue of the current build of SpiceTools is that the start and top gun button are triggering at the same time, resulting in turning off 3D mode being non trivial.

I have included the Songs separately. All Songs include the background movies and are COMPLETE. These have been ported over from official AC builds.
I would recommend editing static.ini for each build and setting the AdditionalSongFolders= value to where your songs are located. This ensures you can run each build with all songs without copying the Songs folder each time.
I.e.
Open \Data\Static.ini

[RandomMovies]
I have included the RandomMovies separately. If you would like random movies within your builds, just place this entire folder within the root of the build you would like to use. Again, these have been ported over from official AC builds.
[Getting Pad Support]
PIUIO is not supported by some of these builds as they are both based on Stepmania 4 and no support was ever added.
To get pads to work, open the "_Extras" folder and install IO2Key. You will then be able to map them correctly.
NOTE: Some of the PRO builds have an extra option in the service menu to map keyboard input.

Kenju and Force Five
Hello y'all.
I finally came back after a very long time to talk about two great obscure and unreleased arcade discoveries for the Atomiswave which are called Kenju (made by DreamFactory who also developed Ehrgeiz) and Force Five.
When I saw both of these games on YouTube, I was amazed and pretty impressed by the gameplay and style of characters and everything else like the musics, especially with Kenju having an amazing art style with its characters and bgms. So I saw that even tho both of those games were unreleased for some reason, their cabinets are actually stored in two japanese arcades fully playable (since they both look fully completed without any bugs thankfully), while one japanese collector by the name of 'Shou(Time)' happens to have both prototype PCBs of each game, and he dumped +100 games and released them all on the internet to play with, so I might hope that one day he might dump and release both of them for all of us here to enjoy.
(I contacted him on his Tumblr and a few forums he's in, hoping that he would reply to me soon or later telling me if he would dump them or not)
Tho there is actually another person who is making repro carts of Kenju, Force Five and a few other unreleased Atomiswave games too on the Arcade-Projects forum who is called 'brizzo', which also said that he apparently dumped Kenju and will release it for MAME, I really hope that this will be true soon, I really cannot wait to play those two games so badly once they get released somewhere on internet.
Pop'n Music Eclale / others IC card / save scores?
Does anyone know how to ""emulate"" the IC function of the PnM games? I'm relatively new to PnM and was able to get Eclale working on my laptop, I'm having a fun time so far trying out songs the the Normal mode. How would I go about saving my scores / progress though? The e-amusement local server only allows for fooling the game into thinking it's connected to the main servers, right? If y'all know anything on how to get the game to save, I'd appreciate it :)
